As the Secretaries-General of YBMUN VI, we take immense pleasure in inviting the future diplomats, for this yet another impactful and transformative chapter of YBMUN. For every voice that deserves to be heard, this conference promises to bring out the unexplored version of yourself in the limelight. Over the past years, YBMUN has grown from an event into an experience that leaves a lasting impact on each one of us. Bouncing back right from where we paused last year, here we are, once again, to claim responsibility in shaping our future.
With stacked experience both as a delegate and as a member of the Secretariat in various chapters, we take this opportunity to serve to our fullest potential by allowing our lessons to become your head start.
Concerned to see every notification turn into SOS alarms, every headline reading unanswered questions, we are now witnessing authoritarian leadership, potential extinction of humanity and shattered international cooperation. Addressing this issue becomes the need of the hour, turning it into the theme of this year, "Peace: Redefining Global Collaboration amidst Conflict".
The best part of MUN lies in acquiring skills like communication, networking, deliberation, diplomacy, and whatnot! The excitement in MUNs does not end with the awards that you receive or the speeches you deliver, but with the joy you get when you learn something new that shapes you into a different person.
YBMUN VI affirms to actively engage delegates with committees addressing precisely chosen agendas for young minds to act. Let each committee session become a chapter of a book, written by people who dared to speak. What truly matters is not only the solutions to be provided but the thought to act for the need. At the end of the committee, success lies in your satisfaction, and not in social perceptions.
Before breaking your heads to solve these agendas, we want each one of you to enter this journey with one mindset: "Conquer with confidence" and leave with the learning, "Action cures fear". With each placard raised, another version of yourself rises along with the countless thoughts about underperforming - just set them aside and own the moment.
